In line with the government closure of bars, restaurants and clubs we have fully closed St Julians Club for the time being. This means there will be no access to the house, grounds, tennis courts or swimming pools.
It is very hard to know what to do in these uncertain times. We value our members a great deal and we know that you understand how difficult a time it is for the club. With this is mind we intend to take the following steps to safeguard the club and ensure that you have a fair arrangement for your membership.
We will not offer refunds on membership, but we will continue the membership as it stands with the following commitments:
1) We ask that members renew at their normal time.
2) There will be no increase to membership renewal rates next year.
3) Any month of the previous year’s membership that the club was closed will be applied as a discount to your renewal fees.
4) Should you decide not to renew, discounts will not apply if you re-join in the future. That said if you decide you would like to renew during the month we re-open, you will have priority over new applications, will not need to be proposed and seconded and there will be no entrance fee.
The Club Secretary, Bronwen Wells, will organise this with each member individually.
During the closure Janet Neal, Office Manager, and Bronwen are still working, while adhering to social distancing guidelines. You will receive your reminders by email, if possible. Please feel free to email us to discuss your membership ahead of paying. We are checking Club emails and voicemails every day and will get back to you as quickly as possible.
We are grateful for all of the kind words of support and the offers from members to renew their membership early. These are such difficult times for all of us and we are touched by our members kindness and understanding. Support from our members will be essential at this time and we will do everything we can to ensure the Club will continue for many years to come.
We will continue to post on our Facebook page and Instagram so you can all see the beautiful surroundings of St Julians while you are unable to visit.
Stay safe and well and we can’t wait to open our doors to you all again very soon!
