Jo from Wine Savvy hosts our wine evenings with a five course tasting menu paired with up to seven wines.
Most people know that white wines work well with fish, but with so many textures and flavours from light seabass to meaty monkfish and intense anchovy to steak like swordfish, pairing wines with fish can be trickier than you think.
This is a fun evening with food, wine and a chance to expand your knowledge.
Seafood Odyssey Menu
Classic sole meuniere – grilled lemon sole fillet with caper butter sauce, fresh lemon & mache salad
Pan fried king prawns in garlic parsley butter
Poached roulade of fresh Scottish salmon with scallop & lobster mousseline, lemon beurre blanc, medley of peas & crushed new potato
Bouillabaisse – Classics French fish stew with Mediterranean fish & mussels served with rouille & crusty bread
Roasted monkfish wrapped in parma ham with romesco sauce, red wine & thyme cooked puy lentils drizzled in olive oil
Pedro Ximénez sherry with homemade Madagascan vanilla ice cream
