The Lounge and Conservatory
The Lounge is our largest room and is the original drawing room of the house, with long bay windows that open to the terrace. It has a beautiful marble fireplace and Steinway grand piano, which is available for you to use if you would like to.
Double doors lead to the Victorian Conservatory which gives easy access
Depending on your number of guests, you have various options with regard to your seating arrangements.
For informal parties the room hire for the Lounge & Conservatory starts from £250.
For larger parties over 80 guests, you would also need to hire the Gallery.
The Gallery is our smaller room – named the Gallery as we show a different collection of paintings in this room each month from local artists. The large alcove bay window has outstanding views across the valley gives easy access to the terrace.
The Gallery is a more intimate space and is perfect for smaller parties.
The Gallery is also used in conjunction with the Lounge & Conservatory for pre-dinner drinks or as a buffet room for larger parties.
We create bespoke menus for each party held at St Julians – you have many options depending on what you would like to serve. We create handmade canapes, finger buffets and fork buffets varying from a simple selection of hot or cold dishes right up to substantial hot and cold buffets.
If you would prefer a seated meal, our menus range from one, two, three or more courses. If you do not want your guests to all have the same meal, we are also happy to create a full pre-ordered menu for your party if you would like it. All food is prepared in house by our team of chefs.
Our information pack includes a selection of the dishes we offer. We have not written an exhaustive list and are always open to suggestions or happy to follow a particular theme. When it comes to the drinks for your party, at St Julians we have an extensive wine list with champagnes, sparkling wines and red, white and rose wines which are hand picked by our sommelier and wine committee. We have a fully stocked bar with a range of drinks including draft beers and real ales, spirits and soft drinks.
We do not have set drinks packages and we will work carefully with you and your budget when arranging your party drinks requirements.
We cater for many types of events at St Julians and are particularly popular for wedding anniversaries and birthday parties of various sizes. We have two beautiful rooms for you to choose from, depending upon the size or style of your function, one, or both, may suit your needs.
Our function co-ordinator works closely with you to create the perfect party including arrival drinks, meal and wines based on your ideas and budget. We are happy to organise any entertainment you may wish to have.
