We cater for formal seated luncheons or evening meals, tea parties, informal meals and buffets.

During the evening you may prefer to have an intimate dinner party, disco or cocktail party with hand made canapés.

We cater for many types of events at St Julians and are particularly popular for wedding anniversaries and birthday parties of various sizes from groups of 10 up to 120 for an informal party. We have two beautiful rooms for you to choose from, depending upon the size or style of your function, one, or both, may suit your needs.

Our function co-ordiantor works closely with you to create the perfect party for you based on your ideas and budget. We also can make suggestions when needed and create bespoke menus for each party. We are always on hand to make sure your day runs smoothly.

We arrange each aspect of the party including arrival drinks, meal and wines, and we are happy to organise any entertainment you may wish to have.

The Lounge & Conservatory are the prefect venue for any type of party, for example a seated meal with pre-dinner drinks in the Conservatory and the seating in the Lounge or vice versa; a cocktail party with a band or disco; or an informal or formal buffet party.

Depending on your number of guests, you have various options with regard to your seating arrangements. For example the Lounge can accommodate a large square table or u-shaped table. To fit the maximum capacities listed below the seating will be arranged in round tables of eight.

The Gallery is our smaller function room - named the Gallery as we show a different collection of paintings in this room each month from local artists. The large alcove bay window with outstanding views across the valley gives easy access to the terrace.

The Lounge is our largest room and is the original drawing room of the house, with long bay windows that open to the external terrace. It has a beautiful marble fireplace and Steinway grand piano, which is available for you to use if you would like to.

Double doors lead to the Victorian Conservatory which gives easy access to the gardens.
The Lounge & Conservatory room hire charge will often be incorporated into the menu price per person.

For informal parties the room hire for the Lounge & Conservatory is £4.50 per person with a minimum charge of £200 and a maximum of £450.

For larger parties we would recommend hiring the Gallery in addition for space for either a buffet room or drinks. Depending on your desired room layout this would normally apply to parties with over 80 guests. The additional charge for the Gallery is £150.

The Gallery can accommodate a u-shaped table or large square table, leaving space for mingling in the window. To fit our maximum capacity the seating will be arranged in round tables of eight.

The cost of hiring The Gallery is normally incorporated into the menu price.

For informal parties the room hire for the Gallery is £3.00 per person with a minimum charge of £75 and a maximum of £175.

Food & Drink
We create bespoke menus for each party held at St Julians - you have many options depending on what you would like to serve.

We create handmade canapes, finger buffets and fork buffets varying from a simple selection of hot or cold dishes right up to substantial, hot & cold buffets and carveries.

If you would prefer a seated meal, our menus range from one, two, three or more courses. If you do not want your guests to all have the same meal, we are also happy to create a full pre-ordered menu for your party if you would like it. All food is prepared in house by our team of chefs.

When it comes to the drinks for your party, at St Julians we have an extensive wine list with champagnes, sparkling wines and red, white and rose wines which are hand picked by our sommelier and wine committee. Once you have booked your event at St Julians we will arrange a tasting of our House wines to help you in this important decision.

We have a fully stocked bar with a range of drinks including draft beers and real ales, spirits and soft drinks.

We do not have set drinks packages and we will work carefully with you and your budget when arranging your party drinks requirements.

There are many types of entertainment to choose from for your party, whether you are having an informal disco or a seated party with jazz pianist. Our event co-ordinator can help you source your desired entertainment, to ensure you set the right tone for your day.

You might wa
nt live music during your meal, arrival drinks, a magician to entertain your guests or a crèche service for the children.

We are happy to hire a pianist for our Steinway grand piano, either as quiet background music during the arrival drinks or the meal. We can also help organise DJ’s & bands for your party. Whatever your theme or tastes we are experienced in sourcing excellent entertainers.
