We are open!

We are delighted that St Julians Club is open and members can enjoy our beautiful surroundings.

We are following all government guidelines to enable us to be a safe and relaxing environment. The existing House Rules and Club Rules still apply except where changes have been made as detailed here.

Arriving at St Julians

The Club facilities are available from 8am to 8pm

Please enter through the main entrance and follow the corridor to the bar where you will be greeted, signed in, and shown to your table or directed outside to the gardens and/or pool area. You are required to wear a face covering when entering and moving around the building.

You can scan the Government QR code with your smartphone on arrival for NHS Test and Trace.

Members are permitted to bring two guests per adult member to visit the Club socially. Social distancing guidelines must be observed.

We have a one-way flow through the house for entry and exit. Please follow the signs and arrows accordingly.

Please observe social distancing guidance whilst at the Club.

Members are asked to stay with and carefully supervise their children whilst visiting St Julians.

Please note we are not able to accommodate swimming or tennis guests at present.

Restaurant and Bar

We will offer table service in all Club rooms, on the bar lawn and terrace. We have lots of well spaced tables for drinking and dining both inside and outside.

Breakfast is served 8:30am to 11:30am daily

Daily Menu is served 12 noon to 8pm Monday to Sunday

Sunday Specials are also served from 12 noon on Sundays

Club closes by 10pm.

All menus have takeaway options available.

You can organise a table to eat or drink, inside or outside, when you arrive at the Club subject to availability.

You may prefer to book a table in advance by telephone. It is advisable to book a table for Sunday lunch.

We are following the ‘rule of six’ so you may book a table inside or outside up to a maximum of six.

Tennis

You may book a one hour slot between 8am and 8pm. Telephone bookings can be made up to two weeks ahead. We are not able to accommodate tennis guests at present.

Swimming Pools

Main pool is open 8am to 7:30pm daily until the end of October
For Swimming lengths only from 8am to 10am
For Leisure swimming from 10am to 7:30pm

There must be no more than 18 members in the main pool at one time. With this in mind you must book a pool slot either in advance by phone on the day or when you arrive at the Club. Members are required to self-manage their allocated time slot and adhere to the one-way system in place.

The slide pool and paddling pool are no longer heated
but may be used between 10am and 7:30pm during October
There must be no more than 6 members in the slide pool at one time, with only one child allowed on the slide frame at a time. Members are required to self-manage their child’s use of the slide and pool accordingly. Please observe the the 2m social distancing rule when using the paddling pool.

All of the existing swimming rules remain in place. Please also observe social distancing guidance and the one way system in place whilst in the pool area. There are some markings to help you.

The ice cream kiosk is now closed for the season.

Please note we are not able to accommodate swimming guests at present.

Access to the swimming pool area is controlled with a keypad security gate. Full and Country members will be given a code to access the pool area. This code is for adult use only. Children must be accompanied and carefully supervised when in the pool area and whilst swimming. WE DO NOT HAVE LIFEGUARDS.

Gardens and woodland

The gardens are open. You are very welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the further grounds.

We also have takeaway options on our menus if you would like to enjoy food and drinks from the Club in the gardens and pool area (or to take home). There is no need to approach the bar to order, please sit at a bench on the bar lawn or speak to a member of waiting staff outside to place your order.

We have a lovely 2km woodland trail for all members to enjoy. Lookout for wildflowers, birds and lots of different trees in our woodland. Please note that the Club’s ‘no dogs’ policy also applies to our meadows and woodland.

Play areas

The outdoor play areas are open for your use. Please can parents accompany their children at all times.

The football area, badminton and table tennis areas are available to use. Please bring your own balls and racquets and be courteous if someone is waiting to play.

Other

Do not visit St Julians if you are feeling unwell and / or you have any symptoms of COVID-19.  Please wash your hands regularly when visiting the Club. Sanitisers are also available for members’ use. Parents are asked to help their children use the sanitisers.

We ask that only one person/family use each toilet at a time. Please enter the Club through the side door to access the toilets and follow the one-way system to exit the building. Children must be accompanied by an adult when using the toilet facilities.

Social distancing at the Club will follow the government guidelines as follows:

We are adhering to the government ‘rule of six’.

At the Club, as with other venues, you may meet in groups of six or less (including children) inside or outside. These groups must not mix socially or form larger groups.

You are not allowed to mingle at St Julians with other members outside the group of six you are with, even if you see other people you know.

Social distancing with people not in your household still needs to be observed wherever possible at 2m.

We take our responsibility to keep members and staff safe very seriously at St Julians. The rule of six is now legally enforceable and members not following the rules will be asked to leave and we may be forced to review the membership of those who are not adhering to them.

Members are required to follow these rule amendments which have been put in place for the safety of both members and staff. Members not adhering to these rules will be spoken to by a member of staff and will be asked to leave to premises.
