22 March 2021 update
Please follow this link for more information!
Our swimming pools will be heated and open from 1 April
The initial opening of the Club as per the government roadmap permits members to visit to swim or play tennis. The Club house, gardens and play areas remain closed until Monday 12 April. (Date subject to government confirmation).
This means that up until 12 April, our outdoor pools will be open for swimming by advanced booking. During this period, unfortunately you are not able to spend leisure time in the pool area or in the gardens but the poolside kiosk will be open for coffees and ice creams to take away and enjoy!
Main pool 1 April to 11 April
For swimming lengths only from 9am to 10am
For leisure swimming from 10am to 6pm
Slide pool 10am to 6pm 1 April to 11 April
Due to social distancing rules, we are required to restrict the total number of swimmers. This means we can permit a maximum of 25 members in the main pool and 8 in the slide pool. Swimming guests are not permitted at this time.
How will this work?
We ask that you telephone to book a 30-minute slot to swim in either the main pool or slide pool.
Please come ready to swim no more than 15 minutes before your session. Do not enter the pool until your allocated time slot. We allow 15 minutes after your session to change and leave the site.
Please use hand sanitiser before entering the pool area.
It is the member’s responsibility to make sure they and their children observe social distancing whilst in the pool area, entering and exiting the pool and while swimming.
The swimming pool toilets are available for you to use, one person/family at a time. Please use hand sanitiser before entering the toilet.
You can swim with friends who are also members in line with the wider social contact limits. This is the rule of 6 or with one other household: you can go swimming with 5 other members or one other household but everyone from different households will need to socially distance at all times.
How do I book?
You are able to pre-book by telephone for the sessions between 1 April to 11 April. The phones are manned Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm until 1 April and 9am to 6pm thereafter.
Be sure to make a note of your pre-booked time and cancel in a timely manner if you cannot make it: this will give us time to offer the session to another member. If you do not cancel in advance you may lose the right to make pre-bookings.
What do I do when I arrive at the Club?
From 1 April to 11 April, the Club house is closed. One family member must come in to the reception office to sign in for your swimming session when you will receive the entry code. You must wear a mask when you come inside. There is a sanitiser point at each entrance.
Scan the Government QR code on arrival for NHS Test and Trace: these are located on the front door and at the tennis courts.
For those who would like to dine with us, we will continue to offer our St Julians at Home takeaway food until Sunday 11 April.
The tennis courts will be open from Monday 29 March. You may book up to two weeks in advance by telephone. When you arrive to play please scan the Government QR code located at the courts. Tennis guests are not permitted at this time.
