26 March 2022

We are very excited to announce that our swimming pools are currently being heated ready for opening on Friday 1 April.

This information is for our Full and Country members, who are able to use the pools within the terms of their membership, but I am sending this to all because this includes important safety information and FAQs relevant to everyone visiting the Club.

The Main pool is open from  8am to 8pm
for swimming lengths only from 8am to 10am
for leisure swimming from 10am to 8pm

Slide pool & paddling pools are open from 9am to 8pm

There is no need for Full and Country members to book in advance for swimming. Please come through the house on arrival and sign in at the welcome desk. Adult members will be given the pool code.

We do not have lifeguards.

Adult members are responsible for their children’s (and guests) safety and behaviour.

Children must be accompanied at all times in the pool area and supervised poolside when swimming.

Guests

We allow a limited number of guests to use the swimming pools each day. This must be organised by telephone in advance of your visit – swimming guests cannot be organised when you arrive at the Club.

Each Full or Country membership household may bring up to four guests per day to visit the Club for swimming.

The fee is £10 per guest aged 3 and over, organised and paid for in advance via the office.

The guest fee also applies to guests who are spectating in the fenced pool area but not swimming.

The same guest rules also apply to tennis guests.

FAQ

Can my children who are members be brought to the Club by a nanny, friend or grandparent who is not a member?

No, child members may only visit the Club with adults who are also members.

A named nanny can be added to your membership. Restrictions apply so contact us for more information.

We encourage grandparents to also become members if they like to visit the Club with you and if they would like to bring your children to the Club. There is a lower membership fee for the over 65s and we also currently have a special offer with no entrance fee payable for parents of existing members joining.

Can I bring a different child to the Club for a swim in place of one of my own who is not coming that day?

No, membership is non-transferrable and only applies to the person named on the membership. All non-members visiting the Club for swimming and tennis must be organised and paid for in advance.

I’m a Social member, can I use the pools?

No, Social members are not entitled to use the swimming pools and tennis courts, buy guests tickets for the use of these facilities, allow their guests to use these facilities, or to be within the fenced pool area.

How many times can I bring the same guest to the Club?

The Club views bringing guests as introductory. The same person may only visit the Club with any member and in any capacity on four occasions in an period of twelve months. Members must be mindful of this when inviting guests.

Can I leave the Club before my guests?

No, guests must be accompanied by an adult member for the duration of their visit as the member is responsible for their guests’ conduct whilst visiting the Club.

Can I drop my children off at St Julians?

Children included in a Family membership aged under 16 and guests under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult member when visiting any part of the Club.

Children included in a Family membership aged between 16 and 18 may come unaccompanied to St Julians on the understanding that the House Rules shall be respected, however they are not permitted to bring guests to the Club.

We love to get to know our members and that helps us to have a relaxed and welcoming environment. In keeping with the spirit of St Julians we rely on our members to follow the rules.

We are here to ensure the Club is used in a fair way for all.

Please only bring guests within the guest parameters. Do not allow another person to use your family’s membership cards.

If you are not sure of something, please just give us a call or drop us an email in advance of your visit and we can clarify. Members who do not follow the rules will forfeit their membership.
