We miss you!

We hope you are all well and staying safe. It is so quiet at St Julians without our members, and especially unusual for us during the recent glorious weather. We are missing the familiar hum of St Julians being enjoyed by our members and children running around exploring the grounds.

Although most of our staff are not working, we have enlisted the help of the people who live at St Julians to help us keep St Julians ready and looking fabulous for when you all return.  We have been able to keep up with the mowing and also the flower beds and kitchen gardens are looking great.

We are keeping the swimming pool lovely and clean ready for your return. The current temperature is 16 degrees with no heating, but it will only take a few days to get up to full temperature once we turn it on.

On a very sunny Easter Sunday we would normally expect a couple of hundred child members enjoying the egg hunt! However we were absolutely thrilled to be able to donate our Easter eggs to Welham Jones Funeral Directors. They distributed them to Darent Valley hospital where they were given to children receiving treatment and also to key workers who were unable to get eggs.

While the children have been away, the fairies have moved in near the teepee village… I wonder who can find them when you are next at St Julians?

The bluebells are out and looking beautiful in the woods. We are sad we can’t share our bluebell woods with you all. The good news is that they return each spring!
